The Week That Was 24.11.17

Dear all,

We began our week with our visit to the annual year 5 and 6 strictly competition on Sat 18th November at The Derngate Theatre Northampton. We were one of eighteen schools competing in the afternoon and despite missing out in the top three, the children performed remarkably well. We were extremely proud of their sportsmanship as they cheered and clapped for all of the other schools throughout the afternoon. A big thank you to Miss Aris for all the work that she has put into the team over the past twelve weeks and to Mrs Wilson. Thank you to Thomas Becket Catholic secondary school who provided us with their minibus to transport the children to and from the theatre.

Our worship visitor this week was Mr Burditt from CSALT. We really enjoyed listening to this week’s Bible story and the children were very engaged, responding to the questions he asked throughout the session.

We have noticed a number of children not wearing the correct uniform. Uniform list can be found on the school website. We understand that some of the children are growing rapidly and the weather is becoming increasingly cooler. Boots are not to be worn during the school day. Every child will need to bring a coat to school. Any issues regarding the purchase of school uniform please do speak to your child’s class teacher or Mrs Auburn. Do not forget that if your child is in receipt of pupil premium, you can receive support with the cost. Please see Mrs Auburn for more information.

Have a wonderful weekend!

God Bless
