The Week That Was 16th September 2016
Year 6 had their special tie ceremony on Thursday morning. Fr Brendan from the Cathedral and Deacon Michael from St Patricks celebrated Mass along with a number of parents and family members. Fr Brendan blessed the ties and these are a symbol of Year 6 and their responsibilities as the leaders of our school. This is their year to shine and I made reference to Mathew 5 and asked year 6 not to leave their light under a bowl but to radiate their talents throughout the school.
If Year 6 would like to donate their old ties to the school this would be most welcome.
A reminder about Tuck for first break. The rule is a piece of fruit or a sandwich. We have had a few non-healthy options creeping in so please can we go back to the healthier choices. There are a number of children in KS2 who do not have tuck and it is a long morning not to have something to keep the engine running. If you have any queries please ask me in the morning or evening.
The children have been benefiting from lots of fun on the new outdoor gym equipment. This equipment was purchased from funds raised by our PTA. A very big thank you to our PTA.
Have a good weekend.
