The Week That Was 19th October 2019

Dear parents

As we approach the end of another half term it we take a minute to stop and be thankful for all of the wonderful days, hours, week, months and years we have had in our wonderful school. It is hard to believe our reception children have completed their first half term. They have got off to a fabulous start and so have their parents with their fantastic attendance at phonics mornings. Well done to year 6 approaching the year with an extremely positive attitude towards their learning.

It has been an extremely busy week. This week her majesty’s inspector visited us from OFSTED.

I cannot be prouder of how hard the staff have been working over the past year to be ready for our visit.

As usual, your fabulous children blew them away with their beautiful manners and how they conducted themselves.

We welcome these visits with open arms because they give us the advice and support we need to ensure that we are always striving for the best outcomes for all of the children in our school.

The report will be published within the next few weeks and we will ensure you each receive a copy.

A special thanks to those of you who spoke to the inspector at the gate or completed the online survey. Your honesty is very much appreciated.

Today we say a sad farewell to Miss Aris who has been with us for 4 years.

We look forward to hearing all about her new adventures and look forward to her popping in for regular visits. I would like to thank Miss Aris for all her hard work.

Finally, just a reminder next week is half term and Monday 29th October is a training day. Children do not return to school until Tuesday 30th October.

Happy Holidays!!
